OUR Spaces stands for Vancouver Out Under the Rainbow Spaces Society, and is a registered non-profit society in British Columbia.
We invite and encourage you to take part in the efforts to build a new Centre for our community. All endeavours of this magnitude involve every person, every organization, and every ounze of enthusiasm the community can muster.

Vision Statement
Realizing the dream… of creating physical spaces to celebrate, support and enhance the diverse cultures of Vancouver's Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Two-Spirited, Queer and Allied communities through arts, leisure, recreation and services.
Mission Statement
The Vancouver OUR Spaces Society exists to facilitate the envisioning, funding, building and maintaining of a multipurpose gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, two spirited, queer and allies’ Community Centre.
Our mission outlines our purpose and for whom we will work to accomplish the purpose. It sets the basics and defines the boundaries within which we will work.
The task we have set for ourselves, in an interplay of priority, are:
We will raise funds and access other resources to build a building and will endeavor to include the following components in our plans:
- Space that allows for a Cultural Hub
- Space for the arts and arts education
- Space for Health & Education
- Space for Recreational & Leisure Facilities
- Space for the community to assemble
To educate people about why multipurpose spaces are needed
To raise money
To coordinate volunteers, who will be drawn both from the members of the society and from the GLBT2SQA community at large
To collaborate with and involve partners, stakeholders and other organizations
Some stakeholders are: Youth, Families, Singles, Seniors, Couples, Individuals, Sports & Leisure Groups, Cultural Groups.
Mandate
Our mandate is to facilitate the envisioning, funding, building and maintaining of a multi-purpose gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, queer, two-spirited and allies community centre in Vancouver.
